Principal's Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

I warmly welcome you and your children to join our St Joseph’s Primary School community. The time your child will spend in primary school is a most significant period in your child’s life and in the life of your family.

St Joseph’s Primary School is a welcoming, hope-filled and inclusive community providing outstanding Catholic Education. An awareness and deep respect of ‘difference’ is embedded in the inclusive culture of our school where our students, parents and staff enjoy a very strong sense of belonging. This sense of belonging is strengthened by the consistent support and encouragement that exists within our community and the emphasis on our vision of ‘Aspire to be our best’, ‘Believe Jesus is with us’ and ‘Connect with each other, the world and God’.

Our core task is education. As a school, we strive for excellence in all academic areas and we are very proud of our students’ successes. All students are encouraged to put forth their best efforts and are challenged each day by their teachers to be the very best they can be. St Joseph’s has a committed staff who continually endeavour to achieve educational excellence by employing pedagogies that reflect the needs of the children and the world in which they live, through current educational, scientific research of how students best learn and embedding high impact teaching practises into classrooms to benefit students.

We support you in your fundamental role as the first educators of your child. We aim to work in partnership with you throughout your child’s schooling with a common vision and high expectations, enabling them to reach their full potential.

If you would like to find out more about St Joseph’s Primary School and community, you are warmly invited to contact the School Office and make an appointment to meet personally with me.

Kind thoughts,

Melissa Hotham
